The Delisle Walwyn Group of Companies partnered with the Nevis Solid Waste Management Authority to facilitate Litter Walk activities to commemorate ‘International Mother Earth Day’. 22 April was designated as International Mother Earth Day by a consensus resolution adopted by the United Nations in 2009 and it is a day on which events are held worldwide to demonstrate support for environmental protection.
The Litter walk activities incorporates the clean up of specific areas around Nevis by various groups including primary school students, and the erection of signs encouraging persons to dispose of their garbage in the bins provided in an effort to ‘Keep Nevis Clean and Healthy’.
